This weekend: Take a moment to tune out and pamper yourself

Posted by Theresa Quinn on Apr 24, 2020 3:10:00 PM

Take a moment this weekend to tune out and enjoy some pampering. Isolation and the constant COVID-19 news cycle is making it difficult to look after ourselves physically and mentally. Now more than ever, we need to step back to make sure that we remain resilient, and maintain a balanced outlook in the midst of so much negativity and uncertainty.

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge mental health

If you're a health worker or carer, you know better than anyone how important it is to keep body and mind healthy for your own well-being, but also to help you continue to carry out the amazing work you do caring for others. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently spoke out about the mental health challenges that NHS workers in the UK face, offering their support to a new Public Health England campaign that specifically addresses the issue - watch here.

While beauty routines and pampering might just be fun for some, it is hugely important for all of us right now to do what it takes to preserve our stamina and mental health. So whether it's pampering, time in the garden or reminiscing about how your team did (or didn't do!) last season, do what works for you.

In time for the weekend, we bring you a selection of some of our favorite video content from the VideoElephant library on pampering tips and beauty hacks that you can do at home. Put down your surgical face mask and try an avocado and yoghurt face mask instead! Or get some tips on a home spa, beauty tips for your Zoom calls, or how to remove acrylic nails at home. We really mean it when we say... enjoy!
